As a Connecticut wedding planner, I always love discovering venues that feel modern, elevated, and versatile for couples looking to create a wedding day that feels personal to them. The Tide at Walnut Beach is exactly that. Located on the waterfront in Milford, Connecticut, this stunning venue combines ocean views with sleek architectural design, making it one of the most unique modern wedding venues in Connecticut.

When Sylwia first reached out for wedding planning assistance, she shared that she and her family had spent months creating thoughtful handcrafted details for the wedding day. She wanted support bringing everything together seamlessly so her family could fully enjoy the celebration, and it was immediately clear how much love and intention had gone into every detail.

One of the most meaningful parts of the wedding was the number of custom pieces handcrafted by Sylwia’s father. Guests were welcomed into the reception with a beautiful display featuring photos of Sylwia and Michael throughout different stages of their lives together, which also held escort cards for guests. He also created a custom charcuterie display showcasing cured meats during reception. These personal touches made the wedding feel warm, inviting, and deeply connected to family.
The overall wedding design perfectly complemented the modern feel of the venue. Sylwia and Michael chose a timeless black-and-white color palette accented with touches of greenery throughout the floral arrangements. The aesthetic felt clean, elegant, and refined while still allowing the waterfront backdrop to shine.

Before the ceremony began, Sylwia and Michael shared private vows together overlooking the water, creating an intimate moment before the celebration officially started. Sylwia also shared an emotional first look with her father before guests took their seats for the ceremony. Accompanied by a live string quartet, the couple exchanged vows overlooking the ocean surrounded by family and friends. It was romantic, emotional, and such a beautiful reflection of their relationship.

The reception began with a high-energy grand entrance from the bridal party and newlyweds complete with flashing lights, sunglasses, and even a wardrobe change. It was the perfect mix of fancy and fun.

Once guests were seated, the couple honored family traditions with heartfelt toasts, a ceremonial shared drink from a special cup, and the cutting of a beautiful loaf of bread decorated with a heart. Every moment throughout the evening felt intentional and meaningful.

The live band kept the dance floor full all night while guests enjoyed late-night treats from a strolling cannoli station serving fresh individual desserts throughout the reception. As the sun set outside, candlelight filled the room with a warm romantic glow that completely transformed the space for the evening celebration.
